Trauma/stress-related Disorders

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other stress-related disorders can have a profound influence on a person’s life. These disorders can be induced by a variety of traumatic events, such as battles, sexual assault, natural catastrophes, and serious accidents. Our outpatient psychiatric services provide comprehensive care to assist clients in managing the symptoms of these conditions and improving their overall quality of life.

Education is a critical component of our strategy. We believe that knowledge is power, and we work directly with our patients to help them understand their condition and develop appropriate coping skills. This includes learning to recognize the warning signals of an impending episode, reducing stress, and keeping a healthy lifestyle.

Medication management is another key element of our care. There are several drugs that can be used to treat PTSD and other stress-related problems, and we work closely with our patients to discover the one that is most successful for them. We closely monitor our patients’ medication use and make modifications as needed to maintain optimal control of symptoms.

Therapy, in addition to medicine, can be a helpful approach to managing PTSD and other stress-related conditions. Our outpatient psychiatric services include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure therapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). These therapies can assist patients in better understanding their conditions, developing coping skills, and improving their connections with others. We also provide specific treatment to veterans who may be suffering from PTSD as a result of their service. Our team has vast experience dealing with veterans and understands the specific problems they may confront.

We are dedicated to delivering the finest possible care for people suffering from PTSD and other stress-related disorders at our outpatient psychiatric services. Our goal is to assist our patients in managing their symptoms and living a full and productive life. If you or a loved one is suffering from PTSD or any stress-related disorder, please contact us to learn more about how we may assist you.
